Not quite Spring

But you really can't tell that around here.
In our part of the country, late Winter and early Spring are the times when everything green and new. Most years by the time May rolls around, we are living up to our nickname "The Golden State."
Yesterday, Brian's dog, Fern, posted about the daffodils sprouting. Around here many of them have already bloomed.
Here are some grape hyacinths that pop up next to the fire hydrant at the corner of our lot.

I probably should rake those oak leaves?

  1. That's what it was like when I lived in eastern Colorado. It would be green for about 3 minutes, then fade to brown for the remainder of the year.
