Almost oops

A little while ago I remembered that today is election day. These local elections are for the boards of local districts such as school boards, community service districts and the like. I am usually on top of stuff like this., but because there are so many other issues involving our "public servants" the media have been focusing on them rather than the local elections. There actually seems to be more about things which we will be deciding in next year's elections than what is at issue today. I am almost tempted to say that there are some who would have us forget about voting today.
