The Lions Clubs of California, officially known and Multiple District Four, sponsor an annual speech contest. This year is the 72nd year of the contest. This is really a tremendous event and a great opportunity for the participants. The ultimate winner is eligible to receive $21,000 in scholarships.
What this is leading up to is that for the third year in a row our district has a finalist in the Multiple District Contest. In each of the past two years "our" contestant has won the whole thing.
