The hard part's done

I won't give an egg count. That's because no matter how many you say you've done, somebody else has always done more. In fact sometime back when Sharon and I were first involved in this, we did more... a whole lot more. The number 6000 comes to mind. If it wasn't that many, it was close because it took until two o'clock in the morning to get the job done. It was way more eggs than we really needed, too.
We'll settle for the numbers we have now. We get home at a reasonable time after coloring. It only takes about a half hour to hide the colored eggs and it is a lot easier to find a place willing to allow the use of their cold storage.
