Last Friday I posted a link to an amusing WEB page about where to live in this country. I appears that California will have to be removed from that list. It was reported in the news that folks are giving up on the California Dream and actually moving elsewhere.
I'm really not surprised. Many of them moved here from somewhere else in the first place with expectations that, just by being here, their lives would be better. They were prepared to exploit California's resources. Now that those emigrants have found that everything is used up they're looking for the greener grass.
In the short history of California, it has been all about a mad dash by someone to get here and grab it, whatever it is. Now that the easy [sic] pickin's are gone, it's time to look somewhere else.
I sure wish some would help clean up the mess before they go.
