More ...somewhat local ...flora
The gum trees, or eucalyptus are not native to the area, but are found throughout much of California. This one stood out because it was so spindly.
On holiday on Madeira we walked along the levadas (irrigation canals) and I can recall a eucalyptus grove where even I could smell the scent. Wonderful!
