Meanwhile

The Sun was beginning to make an appearance.

In this image is 10,000 ft. Haleakala. This may be one of the few times I have seen it unencumbered by clouds.
On an earlier vacation in Maui, Grandma Skip and I went to the top and met some really nice folks from Michigan. It looks much taller in person than it does here.
