Yellowstone

The geologic formations in the park are many and varied... not to mention that the park is huge.

The name of this spot fascinated me.

The wildlife are also many and varied. We saw elk, which I chose not to photograph because they were standing on a lawn, with about 300 people around, nonchalantly eating the grass. There was a coyote who dashed in front of our car and another oncoming vehicle and this big fella.

We saw another bison later but he was sleeping in the bushes with about 40 people taking its photograph. Then we went to see Old Faithful.

  1. What month were you there? We saw tons of bison in August, but no coyotes. Saw a few elk and one moose at Grand Tetons.
