Somebody was asking for quotes on their blog. However they were allowing them from anywhere. I like quotes too. But let's just allow quotes from movies that are at least ten years old.
I will start it off:
From The Loved One (1965) ~
Dusty Acres: [In thick southern drawl] Ah shore do feel bad about yore uncle. He's the one that learned me good English.
Okay? Well here's another little less obscure quote from Mr. Roberts (1955). It's the last line in the script ~
Ensign Pulver: Captain, it is I, Ensign Pulver, and I just threw your stinkin' palm tree overboard! Now what's all this crud about no movie tonight?
"No pleasure, no rapture, no exquisite sin greater, than central air."
ReplyDelete- Dogma '99
"What He really hates is the shit that gets carried out in his name. Wars. Bigotry. Televangelism."
ReplyDelete-Dogma (1999)
That line by Pulver (especially as delivered by Jack Lemmon) is one of my all-time favorite moments in cinema.
ReplyDeleteJim - that's probably the first movie line that I ever mis-remembered.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to mention -- "We don' got to show you no stinkin' badges."
