Thanksgiving comes next

Meanwhile give thanks that there are those who put their lives on the line so that we might have things for which to be thankful.

  1. So true -your words about the Vets!

Gotta tell you though when I first saw the e-mail in my inbox that you had commented on my blog, I got more than a bit confused at first.

Initially -prior to reading the e-mail, ya know -I thought this was a message from one of my cousins with some kind of news about their Uncle -Skip! Yes, I do confuse quite easily and even more so these days than ever before too!

And later tonight, I got another gem of an e-mail about a comment someone else left for me too. It was left on a post I wrote back in September in which I was ranting and bitching about all the damned e-mail I get from places like Nigeria or Cote d'Ivori -all wanting me to help them acquire massive amounts of money some relative left behind for them! And this commenter -who by the way was Anonymous (imagine that, huh) raved about how wonderful my blog was and that he/she reads it everyday. Well if you read the damned thing everyday then something must be wrong with the system that it too two months for your comment to show up here! Yeah, just being a tad miserable and sarcastic -my norm, really -again!
Thanks though for taking the time to comment and I'm sure I'll see you around too from time to time at Suldog's place! Right?

  2. How come you don't have a follower's button too?

  3. Thanks for your comments Jeni. Yeah, I'll be hanging around Suldog's.
I don't have a follower's button because I figure that if there's enough interest in what flows unfiltered from that space between my ears mostly onto my other blog folks will bookmark. I really don't have a good answer other than maybe it's false humility. I don't have a hit counter either, probably because I couldn't stand to find out that my wife is the only person who reads my blogs.
Maybe after I finish the Shaggy Duck story I might post something about when I discovered I wasn't the center of the universe... then again, probably not. Heck, I have already written more here than I usually post [unless I've plagiarized something.].
