Well it turns out that it's not the keyboard after all... no, not those fat finger errors either.
The problem has been that the cordless phone was just a little bit too close to the sensor/receiver for the wireless keyboard. The keyboard still acts up occasionally, but not like it was.
The best solution would be to move the phone to another room and let someone else answer.
