More travels

In case I didn't mention it, the lovely Sharon and I went south again this weekend. This time even further than last weekend (just shy of 400 miles r/t), but over those very same roads as last week. I looked very carefully to see if we could find a place to pull off the road to view the fields of sunflower seeds. Sharon will vouch that the folks who grow them are quite inconsiderate. There was nary a spot anywhere near the fields unless we wanted to pretend we had a breakdown. On the return this afternoon we actually observed the harvesting of some lavender. Once again the field was poorly located.
I will also note that the scenery was even poorer this week than last as there was a really heavy haze... almost smog... hanging in the air due to the fires nearby and virtually no breeze to blow it away.
I did shoot some photos and will post them somewhere, soon.
No, I will not explain the reason for this trip, or the one we are taking on Tuesday.

  1. Oh, my! You will not explain that we are celebrating your birthday? My mantra is that I'll take as many more birthdays as I can get!!!

  2. See it was entirely unnecessary for me to explain ;-)

And a new camera as a present to yourself!

  4. Thank you, sir.
Yes, I presented the camera to myself. The timing was a propitious coincidence
