There's a story going around that today may be the last day of triple digits for awhile. It really depends a lot on which prognosticator one follows. The National Weather Service leaves an outside chance that it won't end until Monday. The others (the widget in the left column, the newspaper and the TV folks) are calling for today to end it.
So it looks like whenever we plan to get away for a bit, it cools down. We'll only be away overnight tomorrow. The weather where we're going is forecast to by in the high 70s and windy.
Have a good trip.
ReplyDeleteSome day maybe... just maybe... I will post a picture of the scenery we have when traveling south. All I can say about it is that Kansas has nothing on the Central Valley of California. The monotony of flatness is only broken by the world's smallest mountain range. Fortunately we have an Interstate Highway that avoids most of the small communities along the way. There are few differences from one town to the next.
