That's what the headline writer wrote for the front page of the fish wrap. I have lived here for over 35 years. The one thing I can safely say about the weather is that it is anything but weird. What would be weird is if it were predictable from one year to the next.
Later someone with a little more sense rewrote the headline for the online version.
The online version states:

Presumably the eastbound and westbound lanes were accident-free?
